Should you wish to discover the Cilento and plan on many excursions, you will need a rental car during your holidays. You could pick it up right at Naples airport, for example, and have it at your disposal throughout your holidays. For rental car reservation at/from Naples we recommend Sunny Cars from Munich. By bus to the Cilento
In summer (June to the beginning of September) the Cilento-Bus of agency “Infante Viaggi” runs several times daily between Naples airport and various coastal towns of the Cilento. Connections within the Cilento region and as far as Salerno and Pompeii are offered as well.

By bike through the Cilento
Bike rental Ciclidea/Italy Bike Rental at Paestum/Capaccio
At bike rental Ciclidea at Paestum/Capaccio you can rent professional racing bikes, mountain bikes, trekking bikes and e-bikes. Upon request, you are provided with maps to help you find your way around.
For an extra charge Ciclidea offers the unique service of delivering the bikes to your accommodation; you need not go to Paestum to pick them up and you can start on your bike tour right from where you are accommodated. Of course, the bikes are picked up again later on.
Bike rental Bicimania Moretti at Marina di Camerota
Helpful and friendly family Moretti runs a bike rental at the entrance to Marina di Camerota. From May to mid October, Moretti bike rental is also found at the harbor. Cycling enthusiasts can choose from among mountain bikes of various sizes, racing bikes, e-bikes and normal bikes (also with child seat). Francesco Moretti is a mountain bike guide and offers guided tours for small groups.
Small repairs are handled on site within 1-2 days. Tips for beautiful tours are included free of charge.

Bike rental Antares'91 at Santa Maria di Castellabate
Franco Nigro runs his car, boat and bike rental Antares’91 in the heart of Santa Maria with great enthusiasm and passion.
At the agency you can rent trekking and city bikes as well as e-bikes and racing bikes. So, off you go on a discovery tour of the hilly coastal area around Castellabate.

Cilento Shuttle (share taxi in the Cilento)
Due to the Corona pandemic the Cilento Shuttle and the Cilento Bus have merged.

There regular, inter-regional bus service from the Cilento via Rome Anagnina to Ciampino and Fiumicino airports.

- Departure from Fiumicino (19:00 h) towards the Cilento

Further local public transport in the Cilento
According to our information they are planning to expand local public transport in the Basso Cilento district (Camerota–Centola/Palinuro–Pisciotta).
The new timetable is valid as of May 2024.
